Philosophy of Education

As classical Christian educators, we focus on the training of the minds and the transforming of the hearts of our students as opposed to the passing only of information through academic subjects.

When we think about teaching, we think not only about what and who we teach, but about why we teach.  A great example of this would be the teaching philosophy of one of our teachers, Mrs. Patti Maguire, our First Grade Teacher, who describes it this way:

My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow mentally, emotionally, socially, and in character. Education is not just contained in a classroom. Ideally, parents and teachers would work together to support these goals to guide the child toward meeting their full potential.

You can see in this; the goal is to partner with our parents in order to share with them the individual goals for each of our students.

To that end, we look to do this for one purpose – to glorify God and to meet our mission – “to instill Character, Truth, and Wisdom in our students in order to prepare them for a life of service to God, family, community, and country through classical Christian education.”
